What will Jump Start include?

Listening drills to increase response time and alertness

Footwork and Hand-eye drills for coordination

Proper Warm up and Cool down for injury prevention

Exercises for strength and endurance

Games/races to increase speed & agility

Who can come?

Boys and girls from the ages of 4 – 6 may join. 3yr. olds can participate, but must turn 4 years no later than 3 months past camp starting date.

Is my child too young to worry about speed & agility?

Not at all. It’s true that certain movements won’t be necessary until a later age, but mastering a few basic movements at this age will make a huge impact in their ability to perform now and down the road.

How does a session look like?

The session will consist of…..

5 minutes of warming up

5 minutes listening drills

10 minutes of motor skills

5 minutes of exercise

10 minutes of games

5 minutes of cooling down

My child is already in a sport. Won’t he be able to learn this in his sport?

At this age, not likely.   Most of the time practices in a sport consist of kids waiting in line going over a skill and not getting a lot of exercise or agility work in. Very seldom is a team working on exercise, coordination, or even the fundamentals. They have the task of giving the players an understanding of the game by practicing rules and positioning of the game.

So next time your thinking of what would be a good, beneficial activity or camp for your child why not give your child a “Jump Start” ?
